stl

i'll be honest. i don't really like st. louis. the hotel where we stayed didn't have a continental breakfast or wifi. don't those came with every hotel. from now on we are only staying in cheap hotels that may bnt have king sized beds, but will have what we value: food and netflix. it is also in a sprawling, desolate part of down town. i also feel pretty tired and nauseated. bad hotel plus bad gut probably shouldn't equate a bad city. to be fair, we went to an excellent zoo yesterday (on the opposite side of town). it is free and very beautifully maintained. most of the walkways were lined with  festive bails of hay and pumpkins.

today is a little better. i came to st. louis university, also known as slu, with tim this morning because i didn't now what else to do.. stl is not a city full of life. and i wasn't going to drive the rental car all over town looking for some. i'm petrified by tail collisions.

now i'm camped out in the library. i found a couch (that's not as comfortable as it looked.. no wonder all of these med students are sitting at the desks) by an outlet that's conveniently proximal to the women's restroom. this library is very nice. it is one of the highlights of st. louis. here, i will spend a nice quiet day. netflix will fire up momentarily until tim has finished. unless the guest internet limits streaming. typical stl style.

i suggested tim not bomb his interview, but zero pressure.
